A delegation from China Classification Society visited our school

2024-12-12

On December 5, Mr. Sun Feng, president of China Classification Society, visited our school. Tu Shandong, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and President of the Association for Science and Technology of the University, and Zhang Xiancheng, dean of the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, participated in the discussion and exchange, and jointly conducted in-depth discussions on the formation of safety norms and standards, research and development and application of hydrogen energy technology.

Tu Shandong first of all extended a warm welcome to the visiting team. He introduced the development history and future planning of our school in detail, stressed that the hydrogen energy integration research platform of our school is characterized by technical safety, summarized the concept of hydrogen energy industry safety into three aspects: process safety, equipment safety and control safety, and demonstrated the representative achievements of our school in hydrogen energy manufacturing, storage and transportation, and safety control. The key role of intelligent control in engineering field of our country is also pointed out.

Sun Feng introduced the business scope, existing scale and development planning direction of China Classification Society, and focused on the core issues such as the formulation of shipbuilding industry norms and standards and the future application of hydrogen energy. He stressed that it is necessary to accelerate the construction of norms and standards under the guidance of the new safety system to ensure the safety and reliability of engineering equipment; The formulation of norms and standards should not only be based on the basic concept of safety, to achieve the safety and reliability of the whole life cycle of safe design - safe manufacturing - safe application, but also bring forth the old and actively incorporate new technologies. He said that focusing on the future application of hydrogen energy, we should pay attention to the key links of hydrogen energy production-storage-transport-use, and actively join the construction and development of the hydrogen energy industry to achieve high-quality development of the industry.

Zhang Xiancheng made a report entitled From machinery to intelligence, from Chemical industry to power - the great historical mission of the School of Mechanical and Power Engineering, which introduced in detail the basic situation of the school, the research fields and directions of the Key Laboratory of Stress System and Safety of the Ministry of Education, team echelons, school-enterprise cooperation, achievement transformation, talent transfer and other contents. Sun Binhan introduced the research progress of hydrogen damage caused by materials for the reliability of hydrogen energy equipment, and showed the latest scientific research results, which caused a warm response at the exchange site.

During the exchange, the two sides had a heated discussion on the formation of norms and standards in the shipbuilding industry, damage tolerance, research and development and application of hydrogen energy technology, and reliable service of hydrogen energy equipment. The symposium laid a solid foundation for the in-depth cooperation between the two sides in scientific research cooperation, technological innovation and industrial development. In the future, the two sides will work together to e the deep integration of industry, university and research.

After the symposium, the China Classification Society delegation visited the key laboratory display board on the first floor of the Motor College under the guidance of Zhang Xiancheng. China Classification Society highly affirmed the development and research achievements of the college.

Li Ye, Director of China Class Social Science and Information Department, Fang Chuang, deputy director of Wuhan Institute of Norms, Qiao Shoucheng, deputy director of Shanghai Institute of Norms, Zhuang Lei, senior engineer of Shanghai Institute of Norms, Chen Lijian, senior engineer of Wuhan Institute of Norms, Hu Tao, deputy general manager of Digital Easy Knowledge Company, and Professor Sun Binhan of our School of Mobility attended the symposium.
